When I was looking for a mesh grille a few years ago, I found the E&G stainless steel grille, but I didn't want to spend $500 so it didn't happen. Well recently I got one from a guy on FB for a decent price and I have been doing some photo-shopping of some ideas on how to use it. Look therm over, comment if you want and cast your vote in the poll.

#1 Stock mesh with billet lower

#2 Stock mesh upper and lower

#3 Black border upper with billet lower

#4 Black border upper and lower

#5 Black mesh upper billet lower

#6 Black mesh upper and lower

#7 All black upper billet lower

#8 All black upper and lower

I don't mean to be rude, but the one with the wide surround looks cheap. Like something one would order out of a JC Whitney catalog.

If you really feel the need to change it, number 8 looks best to me.

Hey, no prob. I'm not a big fan of the really wide frame either, that's why I wanted it a different color to try and make it less noticeable.Unfortunately, the black doesn't really do it, it's better than polished, but still not great. I am going to do some more renderings today using combinations of my paint color, black and polished. I think if I make the frame the paint color it will blend in and not look as big. I probably will only use the grille for this winter though. I need to get my billet refurbished as some of the powder coat is flaking off. I will probably do #8 with plasti dip and use it in the winter with my black wheels and fog light bezels, should look pretty good all together. Then maybe in the summer do some body color painting if I like any of the new mock ups.

OK, here are a few more I came up with.
#9 This is body color on the frames. Hard to capture the change of color with the metallic paint, but I think it conveys the idea. Looks very similar to #4.

#10 Body color frames with black mesh. In theory, the frame should blend in with the paint and not look so wide. I'm diggin' this one.

#11 Everything body color.

#12 Upper body color and lower black

And lucky #13 Body colored upper and my billet lower. This is slowly becoming my new favorite.

Well I posted this in several places; the votes are in and the winner is #8. That will work for me as I can run it with my Winter look as all black and it should look pretty good. I will post an install picture sometime this weekend. But here's what a can of Plasti Dip can do.

I got the upper E&G grille in today, but the lower is too small for my 2011. It is made for a 2013 or newer with the lower grille "U" trim piece, so it is shorter. Oh, Well, always something. Top fits well and I think it will be OK for my Winter look, but I don't think it will stay, especially with the stock lower grille; at a minimum I would have to put my lower billet in to brighten the front end up a little.

Imo the 13+ grill looks the best. Out of all the ones I posted, the one I chose looks the best.
