All this 'negative' press from autoweek, Car and driver got you feeling down?

This should make you all feel better. Leave it to the Canadians to actually test the truck for what its meant for... not for how it handles in LA traffic with a 'load' consisting of wicker baskets from Pier 1.

It says the towing capacity for the 4x4 is 5,000...

Mine says 6,500

Cool. Tacoma won truck of the year a couple times before the 05's came out in 4Wheeler magazine I think as well. Or one of those 4x mags anyway. Maybe not 4Wheeler.


Edit:
The one thing I notice about these kind of tests is that they never have/drive the truck enough to break it in. Mine runs so much better now that it's got a few K on it, and only seems to get better. How many miles can you really put on it in 3 days or even a week?

Base 4x4's have a 5,000 lb towing capacity, TRD models have the 6,500 lb tow capacity, the writer probably looked at the wrong stat when reporting because the pictures show the TRD Model.
