I really hate reinventing the wheel
there are some jobs that just suck because they do and there is no way around it
OTO there is work that you can make more difficult than need be, because you didn't ask
I have two more months before i go back to work
I have time to ask
book was not as helpful as i t might have been(Chilton's)

Thanks
Paul

After staring and poking at the motor for a while, I figured it out. If you remove the plenum and hoses to the air cleaner, the back ignition coil becomes relatively easy to remove.
I would suggest new wires as a "while you are in there" precaution.I used 1/4 inch flex head ratchet, and 10mm socket.

thanks
Paul
