Copied this from YotaTech which was from Pa TTORA.

The 8th annual East Coast 4Runner Jamboree (EC4RJ) will be held at Rausch Creek Off Road Park (www.rc4x4.org) in Joliett, PA. Base camp will be at Echo Valley Campground (www.echovalleycamp.com) in Tremont, PA. The Jamboree will be held on Friday, June 20-Sunday, June 22, 2008. For those of you that wish to camp for free, camping at the park is available as well. The EC4RJ is an event which caters to all levels of rock crawling and trail riding. First time wheelers as well as competition buggy drivers will feel at home at Rausch Creek Off Road Park.

The East Coast 4Runner Jamboree first began in 2001 as a small get together for fellow Toyota off road enthusiasts that met online. Since then, it has grown into an annual east coast run in which some have traveled almost 1000 miles to attend. The EC4RJ has received coverage from Toyota 4WD owners magazine and 4Wheeler magazine. We plan to have 1 or 2 more photographers/editors this year.

We are anticipating the largest turnout for the 2008 EC4RJ. I would say anticipating 75-100 rigs and 150+ people for this event is a pretty safe assumption. We are putting forth a much larger effort this year in terms of sponsorship and advertising for the event. There will be no "formal registration fees" for this event. The only fees incurred will be the park fees at Rausch and the campground fees at Echo Valley. T-shirts will be printed with the EC4RJ logo as well as all the sponsors who choose to donate items for the event. If anyone wishes to purchase a shirt they will be on sale for what we paid for them. We are not making any profit on this event. The Toyota Trail Team will be at the event helping out first timers and showing them “the ropes” in terms of rock crawling and trail riding. There will also be several guided trail rides to accommodate all skill levels. We have reserved 2 large pavilions at Echo Valley Campground where we plan to hold the raffle and possibly dinner Saturday night.

I am currently working with Allen Dickenson, Matt Rasnake and Todd Bishop. Matt and Todd are working on sponsors for the FJ crowd. Allen and I are working on the rest of the sponsors. Our preliminary sponsor list contains 35+ companies that manufacture Toyota specific parts, camping gear and provide Toyota Services. I know it is still early in the game. I will keep everyone notified as we receive sponsor approval.

Mark your calendars folks. This one is gonna be a doozie! Post up if you're attending.

Itmight be that all 3 posts, prior to mine, have been late at night. Likely, only the west coast boys are seeing it. I have spent a fair amount of time on the forum in the last 24 hours... but this is the first I've seen of it?!

I've only been to Rausch Creek once, but Im looking forward to another trip, it was a blast!

So... here is a bump for the day shift!

Wake up you lazy fawkers!! Anybody up for another trip to Rausch Creek?

I'm in!

*juddemt... ditch the rugged trails, for sure! ;)

I will more than likely be going! This is going to be a HUGE event. You will probably be 1 of at least a 100 vehicles. This should also be some incentive for people kind of weary of going out. There is going to be a TON of experienced drivers out there spotting you through the trails. I will also be at Mini Takeover in July, but I'll be sitting shotgun with Joe(The guy who looked like Elvis with the glasses for the guys that went last time). If anyone is interested in going to Takeover let me know on this thread as I will post up more info when the time gets closer.

For those interested in coming, I'd highly suggest getting sliders. You can make it through most of the green trails with little worry of damage to the rocker panels, but, there are a couple of trails that are quite harry without them.

I'm only suggesting this because I don't want to see what happened to me at Paragon happen to someone else. If only I had them on, I would literally have no damage to my truck, minus the natural pinstriping from wheeling. And believe me, navigating these trucks through some of the trails there are interesting. Unless you have a regular cab that is.

And for camping, I'll most likely stay wherever the majority of the people I know do. Either way, Echo Valley will more than likely give us a discount. I think it was like 25$ to camp the whole weekend. Not only that but it's like a 10 minute drive to the park.

I would definitely take them off. I swear I heard SMEBay's steps crunch at one point in the day, but he said there was no damage. Better safe than sorry!

No need to buy tickets for the event. Just show up!

Mini Takeover is not as organized as the Jamboree, but it is hosted by PA TTORA. Same thing though in terms of what you'll be doing if you attend. It'll be a decent sized group going. Last year we rented out a nice section of Echo Valley Campground. We had a raffle drawing one night, and then wheeled the entire weekend. I think we had about 30 trucks show.

I personally won't be wheeling my truck that weekend. I'll be sitting shotguy with one of the guys from PA TTORA. I always like going with the guys with more capable rigs. Fun to sit shotgun and just relax.
