EGR line putting moisture onto air filter

825 Views 0 Replies 1 Participant Last post by  grandoak
I have a 94 22RE pickup with 160K miles. The EGR line that comes into the top of the air cleaner is splattering some black liquid (I imagine it is exhaust condensate) on top of the filter and freezing up the mass air flow. So, it either runs lousy or not at all when it is well below freezing. The check engine light comes on and off but haven't checked the codes. In reading through some threads, I see that one thing I should do is replace all my old vacuum lines. Any other suggestions? I often only drive it 2 miles morning and night and moisture may be building up. It runs well when the temperature is above freezing but I imagine that it will not run well for long if this continues. Don
