Electrical Issues

We have a 2015 Highlander and started having an issue where the lift gate went up but would beep twice trying to lower but not lower. Happened only twice randomly. Then yesterday parked, turned off the ignition and got out and it starts beeping. Open the door and it tells me to turn off the ignition so I hit it again to go off. When we get back to the car later the HVAC is reset as well as the clock. No issues the rest of the day. Today my wife says the entire computer, clock and HVAC is going out and it feels like she loses power steering momentarily. Happens at least a dozen times this morning. Take it in to the dealer and they want to charge me over $500 to remove the H11 HID Kit Xtreme HID headlights I installed in 2015 right after we got it and realized how bad the OEM head lights were. I told them no thanks and I will bring it home and take them out myself and save $500. Wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this that was related to aftermarket headlights. Any recommendation besides putting normal bulbs back in to see if the issues persist?

Thanks

Jc0105...curious..were the headlights on when power lift gate didn't work ? Also...how old is your eng. battery? Why headlights have to be removed is a good Q ? Look for updates.
I don't believe the headlights were on as it was during the day outside. Battery was replaced in Q4 last year.

So I popped the hood this afternoon to take a look. The previous battery had some corrosion at one of the terminals. Looks like it also damaged one of the cable after the terminal. I’m pretty sure that’s the problem. Need to lookup the manual to see if I can replace it myself this weekend.

Try cleaning it first. Little baking-soda and water.
