I have 1995 tacoma 4wd 2.7L. I guy told me I can by-pass the emission (the black box behind the battery.) there is a tube that runs from the intake tube to the box and back to the intake. He told me to by-pass the box and just connect the tubs for power and better MPGs. Is this true

Just spoke with my pops apparently he has been down there twice. The second time they changed his belt they didnt tighten his tensioner and change his belt all in one day my mistake.
He said second time was a total bust and hes not driving the 30 minutes or wasting the gas on the morons he took it to.
One other thing he bought it from a mazda dealership, so go figure. Should he try to have a toyota dealership fix it and bill mazda for there idiocy?

I did do it and I know it has more power and better MPGS. Emissions are over rated
how did you determine the impact on your gas mileage and power?
