Anyone found a way around having to enable the power mode at each start-up? :help:
Or am I :deadhorse?

I picked up my '17 XLE up yesterday and so far the best I've came up with is to register the "Settings" display as the top screen and turn the "Power" mode on that way. :thumbsdow

I have the same issues with A/C and Start & Stop. It doesn't look like the HL has memory so every time you start your car you will have to turn on/off by pressing buttons, and for A/C you need to switch from leg vent position to another position.

The car doesn't have "memory" for the Power mode button or Engine Start/Stop Disable by design. Not sure why, but clearly it's intentional. I'm hoping that by the time I buy another HL the Start/Stop Disable can be a little more permanent, either with a two-position switch that stays pressed in or a software setting that the dealer can set.

For the A/C, are you operating it in Auto mode? Auto mode will always do what it wants to, which includes blowing out the floor vents when the system needs to heat the car. It would blow out the dash vents in a cooling mode.

it also helps it to be more responsive than a 1st gen prius with the electric motor disabled, but yeah, more or less.

i wonder if "power mode" gets any worse fuel economy while cruising on the highway (which is the only place it gets better than crap mpg). my guess is not, but haven't tested it.
