My 91 toyota V6 pickup engine will cut out while driving. It is not a skip or hesitation the engine just cuts out the tach drops to zero. This will only last a second then the engine will start again because of forward momentum and being a standard transmission. The engine will then run fine for several hours or days before it will do it again. I have checked for loose connections w/out any luck also changed coil & spk plug wires. Other electrical devices still work when this happens ie: fan wipers etc. It will occur while accelerating or decelerating.

sounds like a bad ground or a bad connection somewhere in the harness. might be the ignition switch. definatly eletrical if the tac drops immediatly to zero especially if the engine is turning.
