Hey guys, I just purchased 2016 T Highlander with small damage in front. It is only bottom lip is smashed and radiator broke. Is there any relays, or sensors, that prevent engine to start when there is no cooling fluids in radiator ?
Little more info please...is it like the car is not cranking?..
I can think of hood switch..that does not let the car to start with remote..but don't know if regular way of starting is held as well..
This isn't specific to the Highlander, but perhaps it has an engine cutoff switch in the event of a collision - maybe the damage you are seeing resulted from such a collision?
My only direct experience with a cutoff switch like this is when one of my 50+foot trees fell on my neighbor's Ford something-or-other :-D The switch needed to be reset before the engine would start.
