hey everyone, i need help finding out the problem to my engine. it was raining today and on the highway all of a sudden wen i give my mr2 more gas, the rpms drop and the car slows down. and then getting off the highway, my engine died at the light and didnt wanna start for around 3-5mins. the engine would turn but wont start up. could the engine have been flooded with water? i have a stock air intake. maybe the distributor cap?

Make sure the spark plug wires are sealed against the valve cover.
Make sure the distributor cap seap is sealed against the distributor.
Make sure there is no air leak in the air intake plumbing.
