Hey guys

I was wondering if anyone knew what size bolts to use for the engine stand and where on the engine the mounting spots were. I was told I needed M12 x 1.25 bolts but I don't know what that means, I assume M12 is the metric head size and 1.25 is the thread size but not for sure haha.

Any help would be awesome. ;)

I don't know what size bolts are needed, but I can explain the metric size description.
M12 X 1.25:

M12 = major diameter of the threads in mm. Major meaning across the tops of the threads. The shank of the bolt is usually close to the same diameter. Not always, but usually.

1.25 = the thread pitch, in mm. So from one thread to the next is 1.25. A smaller number means the threads are finer, bigger = coarser.

Ok so if anyone is still curious, I've bought the bolts from my local tapper.

If you're looking for 3VZ-FE engine stand bolts look for grade 8.8 bolts M12 x 110 x 1.25.

They're a perfect fit where the transmission usually bolts in :D Thank you for your explanation BMR.

I like being able to sit on top of my engine like a ranger and know they won't break on me ;)
