Has anyone ever noticed how bright the plate lights are on the back of Camrys? Check that out!

yeah, i've noticed it a few times...Gen 3's and solara's light it up well..gen 4's got their plates on the trunk lid..so they do light well..but not as good as gen 3's and solaras

thats jsut asking for a cop to give you a ticket.

there are several other products you can get to make your plate hard to photograph by traffic cameras and sometimes even harder to read by the naked eye that aren't so obvious

Speaking of lights in the rear, why do Mini's have that little ass light? I think the new ones use it as a reverse light, but I saw an original driving along and it was on, shining on the ground, not the licence plate...

I think your deadon the reverse light...but i know some german cars have 'rear' fog lights, its just one light (not a pair) that by the side of the plates (like on audi's). its purpose is to make the car visible when visibility diminishes (like fog, rain, etc). So i'm guessing here for the old mini's - could it be that???

^That sounds about right... theres a pizza delivery guy around here that drives an old red mini. I saw him flying down east washington one night with that rear light on and it just didn't make much sense to me.
