I have a 93 LE with the 2.2 and one thing that drives me nuts about this car is all of the little bitty exhaust leaks i get (of course with 280000 miles its not a surprise :)). I have replaced the front manifold once and had individual leaks fixed 2 times up there. But now i have a leak at the flange where the pipe connects the main muffler in the back. Its a small leak, small enough to where i can cover it with my finger and it stops.

I'm wondering if there is a product out there that will fill in the little hole there becuase if there isnt then that means i have to replace the muffler and the rear pipe, and im short on money.

Anyone know of a product. ONe of my friends suggested great stuff, even though its made for pipes in homes..ahaha

any ideas or suggestions

Don't use anthing with silicon upstream of an O2 sensor. The silicon will foul an O2 sensor.

hey thanks for all the help guys. I noticed today that the leak is actually at one of the bolts that attaches the muffler to the pipe. The actual bolt has a hole in it. Very strange. Ill try picking up one of those patches. Thanks

try this product called Clay Steel (or something very close to that name)

its like sticky putty you knead and spread it where you want with your fingers

it dries rock solid and can resist EXTREME temperatures, even underwater!

permanent fix

Can be found at walmart or autozone
