Yes since it restricts flow.
Mine didn't restrict flow much, it just broke noise up to keep it a bit quieter than none.
I like it with none though, the noise is just a bit better.

Pull the silencer out, see how it sounds, if you like it better with it throw it back on.
It can't be a noticeable difference.

Yes since it restricts flow.
Since it restricts airflow doesnt it Mae more back pressure ?

And if so , is more back pressure good ? Or bad

Sidenote -
I'm trying to make my car accelerate as fast as it did STOCK. ( I cud actually feel the acceleration so to say)
When I put my mods on (simple mods - cai, oil catch, rims 16, full catback exhaust, headers, front sway bar) it feels like my acceleration went down..

Intakes generally change the acceleration at different revs. I've never dynoed my car, but my buddies Sunfire with a SRI pulls more whilst switching into second and third. And with a CAI pulls more off initial acceleration into second.

He straight piped with 2.75", new header, hi-flo cat, exhaust with cut muffler, etc, and he lost a fair amount of acceleration. He put a muffler on with 2" piping and got most of his pull back, and it still sounds cool.
