I was at the dealership today and I was just wondering if anybody here actually paid this much for a truck that was "modded" at the dealership?

On this truck they tacked on an extra $7k+ for less than $3k worth of stuff.

$2700 for $1200 worth of wheels and tires
$1300 for a $300 spacer/AAL lift from Rough Country
$600 nerf bars from a brand I've never heard off
$350 JDM taillights (the same ugly Non-JDM ones on Ebay for $80) :lol:
$360 for an ugly $150 Ebay billet grill
$550 no-name vinyl tonneau cover
$100 window tint, which is not really that bad for 2 windows.

Then finance the truck and pay big interest on the truck, plus big interest on the overpriced accessories? Are you crazy? :kookoo:

HAHA! That's funny I just got back from the dealer. In the showroom they have a prerunner with 20" wheels very nice! The salesman is a friend and told me that the rims and tire are $7k add on.:lol::lol:

I saw an FJC on ebay a few months ago that had about $8k in upgrades (ARB bumper, skids, sliders, roof rack, lighting, lift, wheels, tires, roof tent), they claimed $20K in upgrades and where asking $50,000k!

They don't seriously expect anyone to pay $37K. They'll negotiate with a customer and let it go for $35K. That way the buyer can feel good because they got it for $2K off. They're just doing it so the customer doesn't have buyer's remorse! Oh yea, that's it!

Yeah, probably. But by the time you pay off that truck the $5k of accessories still actually cost you $7k, unless you paid cash for the truck.

I don't understand it, but I guess there are lots of people that will buy an expensive, pre-packaged, AutoZone special edition Truck. I'd rather build it myself, with quality accessories, and some time and thought invested.

Let me guess... They did all this to a Prerunner? That is absurd to charge that much, not to mention that for the price they are charging for certain mods a person could select way better options for cheaper!
