In a 2018 Toyota Camry XLE, can an external mp3 player be played through the USB port?

I use use a thumb drive as the radio will play mp3's. If you use an mp3 player, you have plug in to the plug next to the USB drive. Thumb drives are super cheap and easier to manage with the radio.
This one is so tiny, you can close the door and not even see it.

Yes, the factory radio in an '18 XLE is designed to use an IPod via the USB plug. I used to use that functionality all the time in my '13 Avalon until I upgraded to a different setup. I don't know if a different mp3 player would work via the usb input. If you already have the mp3 player, give it a try.

That is the one I used
it has to be formated fat 32! In a windows computer.
