Hi all, i'm new here and glad that i've found this place where all the celica lovers gather.

Well, my latest and 1st Celica

1996 GTS 25th yr anniversary white convertible.

the 6th Gen has been my dream care ever since the 1st time i saw it on the 95 WRC championship.

What is ur all time favourite Gen?

Sadly, i hate the 7th, i tink i looks ugly. just my point of view.

Could some of the senior or more experienced memeber shed a light on what i can do to my baby.

i got her on full stock and the previous owner was a car lover,

as till now, i've only done a short ram intake on it.

will be looking at tuning her up a little,

kindly give me your suggestions.

Thanx guys :D

first i dont like show owns the 5th gen but im loving the intercooler.. (please tell me there is a big ass turbo under there too)..

Aaagogo: you can do alot with you car just there is two things you going pick first.
1. do you want looks or going fast?
2. how much are you willing to spend (hp cost money).
i agree, the intercooler looks:thumbup:

hmm... well, i would of course like to have the best of both worlds, looks good and runs fast :p:

my baby has abt 139000 miles and i wld say, her performance as a touring car is excellent, on my drive from daytona to berkeley, she gave me about 32 mpg @ 75mph, but she starts to guzzle gas above 80 mph....

well, she runs quite and smooth and i love her very much.

the easiest way to add a few HP's wld be to get a cold air intake, which i'm in the process of doing now, and i'll be looking at changing the exhaust and probably along with the exhaust, a new head.

well, i'm a poor college kid and i've kinda blew my savings on my baby but it was every cent well spent.

please let me know ur suggestions and where i can go to read up more

thanx people.

I personally like 6th gens the best. I think 7th gen is more show, while 6th gen retains more character and looks like it's faster than it really is (unless it's the GT4 version, in which case it would look as fast as it actually is).
hmm to the bottom line is you need cheep mods that give hp.
you got the CAI and with headers and exhaust down, now your best bet it to just use some juice (i mean i hate the stuff but in your case i see it as the best way)
First of I'll take both of those GT-4's(assuming their in Europe, or from Japan. Personally I didnt like the 7th gens at first, but after seeing my buddy transform his stock GT into a show winner, they have fondly grown on me. I love all gen celis, from the old school first gens, not so much the second or third, but continuing from the fourth to the seventh. Beautiful cars.

As for show/go for you car. save up some cash, do the JDM 3S-GTE swap, that is well worth the money. By the way congrats on you new baby.
by juice, do u mean NOS?

also do u guys tink tat better quality spark plugs n ignition cables will yield another few HP's more.

if my facts are correct, my baby would be heavier than the non convertible versions, stock to stock..

well, i only know the CAI and exhuast method to add HP's....
