Hello everyone,
I am a new member. 96 Camry with 256,000 miles. I have been reading your posts for a while now. I just placed my order at Toyota cheap parts. I have to do the timing belt again. More than that I have to fix the apparent oil pump leak that I have. I have read posts on the oil pump leak and viewed pics from some of you. I look forward to changing the belt, crank and cam seals, both pulleys, water pump, thermostat, oil pump gasket and shaft seal this coming weekend. I will let you know how it goes. I have done the timing belt and seals before but not the water and oil pump.

Thanks for all the advice,
Love this forum :D

Take pictures as you go if you can...the more pictures/tutorials...the easier it is for others to conquer these jobs!

Thanks!

I would be curious how long it takes you. I have thought about trying this as well but I don't know if I can have my car down this long.

good luck

and it astounds me how many of the 5sfe oil pump o-rings seem to leak...I guess we 1mzfe guys are lucky with that....except that doing the timing belt is twice as hard otherwise :p:
