I've been dealing with all sorts of issues with my Camry's power windows. Windows coming off track, coming detached from the regulator, having hard times going up and down, getting stuck. I'm struggling here trying to figure out how they work. Any information you guys could give me, especially concerning some of the issues I'm fighting. But any and all information would be helpful, because who knows what else could go wrong, right?

Best thing to do is remove the door panel and have a look, the problem will likely become obvious.

Try spray some silicone lube in the rubber tracts... that'll help it move freely

then like 71 said, open the panel... It csounds like something is either bent or broken as the windows should not be falling off..... thats more of a Ford thing lol

The assembly that holds the front windows in has no real way of securing the glass because the glass itself slides back and forth in the bottom track as you wind up/down, sometimes it just gets worn out and wont grip the glass anymore.

I haven't found a good fix for mine except to keep the window tracks lubed like mentioned above and use my hand to move the glass along. I did remove the entire rubber cushion from the bottom track and cleaned it thoroughly, just to keep everything smooth. This does help alot.

The back windows have screws holding them in, they should never really fail.

Ok I was hoping maybe their was more holding in the front windows and I was missing it, go figure my luck lol. For sure I'm gunna lube them all up, hopefully that will fix the rears at least!

It's all very easy to take the glass out once you have the inner door card off. The glass will slide upwards if tilted towards the front of the car. I recommend keeping the window at around half height to ease reinstallation. Where-ever you can get your hands in the bottom portion the best.

Usually the "Bearing" that rolls in the window regulator wears out and slides out, causing the window to come down all crooked. New window regulator will fix it. I've seen some clamp down the area to hold the bearing in place when it slides and that works for awhile.
