Can anyone tell me where I can get a set of 4 FJ Special Edition TRD wheels - the gun metal color, not silver.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Your local Toyota might be selling them as well.

Your not allowed to buy them from a dealership with out a VIN#, and even then you can only get so many sets with that VIN# I believe.

Ebay will be your best bet, and expect a premium for them now.

very true. last year around this time, they were easier to get. the founder of TTORA (i forgot his name) works over at a dealership in Texas. I don't know if he's a member on TN, but he was on CT and i remember a lot of people contacting him because he was selling them at $125/wheel. i doubt he still has that kind of hook up anymore, but it won't hurt to contact him.

i tried that search on trdparts4u also, but i'm not sure if those are the gunmetal ones or not.

one of the guys i work with also works at toyota and can get me the gunmetals through a backorder at cost..though he's got tons of the new black fj rims that i might settle for.

missed out the deal they were having to clear their inventory of the gunmetals...set of 4 for 200

the anthracite wheels have a part # that ends in 1 the ---0's are silver.

i haven't been able to track down any truly silver ones. only the gunmetal gray and then there are the black ones. i kind of like the black ones. does anybody else like the black ones? not sure how they'd look on a silver tacoma. i think the gray would be better. now i'm just rambling.....

^ i didn't know they had black ones. if you search around you will find pics of silver ones and anthracite ones. i have the anthracite on a silver truck. :thumbup:

If you can get the Trail Team FJ wheels (the black ones) go for it. Shannon made a post about these things being harder to get than the anthracite ones:cockblock

You still got to show a vin# because Toyota has a stick up their ass about these wheels for some reason.

Gray looks better on the silver truck, but black is a close second!

I am making some headway with a local dealer - he placed the order!! I'll won't know for sure until I get them in my hands on Tuesday!!! I'll post some pics if this works out.
