Here's a picture of how I mounted my MagLite.

The clips are made by MagLite and can be purchased at ACE Hardware! ($7.00)

I got this Mod, Thanks to a TS member!

And if you're in Kalifornia, NEVER EVER EVER say that the flashlight could ever be used for self-defense purposes. That would make it a concealed weapon in a vehicle, a serious no-no in this part of the Socialist Republik.

FWIW.

Well, In Texas the cops wouldnt even give it a second thought so I think i'll be ok....lol

Also, I JUST did mine, took all of 2 minutes.

Here's a picture of his center counsel. I'm doing the same, flashlight holder but I'm rubberizing the clips.
Tell me more about that cool iPod holder. What Aux input are you using? And what did you use for a mounting bracket?

Sorry that's not my Ipod holder. That's the guy on TS.

Here's an Update, I'm so anal I went to the store to try to get a "Blue" MagLite, but These L.E.D. Mags only come in Black? I'll buy a blue one later and swap the bulbs.

I tried mounting my Maglite in the same place, on the side of the drivers seat, but I didn't want to screw holes into the plastic, so I used some heavy duty double sided tape. Needless to say, it didn't hold at all. Currently I keep the flashlite in the drivers side door.

As for the Ipod, I have mine mounted inside my console vault....took me an hour just to drill, dremel the hole in the console to get the USB cable through....but now I never have to worry about the Ipod as it's always locked. I'll try to take some pics this weekend and post later.

i have the same clips as you toku, i mounted to the carpet (bad idea i know) problems - 1) pull up gently or will rip out caus screws arnt long enough even though i bought longer ones. 2)didnt think about it till afterwards but there could be eletrical wires under carpet, but i didnt hit any thank god. 3) dont know for sure but if i had longer screws it would be bad if it went all the way through the floor and leave a hole in the floor pan.
flame all you want i know it was bad idea, but thinking bout mounting it in the side of the seat now im tried of holding down the clips as i take it out, do you have to hold the clips when you take the mag lite out?

I used stainless Screws and nylocks. I actually drilled the holes from the back and used the plastic re-enforcement as my guide.

It mounts securely but it is still just plastic! And Yes! I do need to be a little careful when removing it.
But it sure beats having it slide back and forth on the floor!!:D

I went with the litegrip billet aluminum mag lite holder... I got two of them, but one holds my four cell just fine... I bolted it down with larg washers on the backside to dispers the weight a bit...
Heres a link to them... http://www.tellico4x4.com/index.php/cPath/0_40_276
I didn't order from this site but from performanceproducts.com along with some other stuff and will never order anything from them again... They completly fubared my order with forever backorder and then mixed my order up and sent it out to someone else... lol just my luck :disappoin

Ohh and if you haven't yet go out and get the LED upgrade bulb... puts out just as much if not more lite and makes the batterys last forever... pluss you get the added bonus of people looking into the lens and turning the lite on to see how bright it is lol...
