My 87 Asian carb seems to be draining out overnight. After I crank it a few times in the morning it fills back up and runs fine, unless it sits for 8-10 hours and it empties again. Anyone have any idea how/where the gas is going?

Mine does the same thing . I always wondered if it was normal.

The Exxon-Mobile elves sneak in at night and siphon it off to resell it to you later.

Or,

the needle valve and seat that let the fuel into the bowl are worn after 20+ years, and allow fuel to slowly drain back out when there is no pressure.

yep forward is right my Toyota mech uncle told me mine need to be rebuilt mine does tht too maybe he will doit it for my 18 bday

do those carbs have soldered well plugs in bottom of the bowl like some carbs do such as the old Q jet carbs etc?

they leak and empty the bowl out often due to age, etc,


new solder fixes that

Can you fix this without taking the carburator off the intake.
