Ok, so I have searched the forum and google and cannot find an answer to this question which is why I am making a new post.

i want a Flowmaster Standard 40 series muffler for my 09 Double Cab Long Bed.

Both are 2.5" in and out, which from the searches I believe is what I need.

However, I do not have the truck yet so I cannot tell which part I need.

Is the output centered or off-centered?

I think the part I need is the first one 42541, is this correct?

42541

or

42543

Just to confirm, the factory muffler can be dropped out and this one put back in place, no other issues?

Mine is center in dual out, so I'm not positive if the single out is suppose to be off center or not

You can have it dumped and then i don't think it would matter much where the placement was. Sorry if this isn't helping.

Haha....

All I want to know is: (2009 Double Cab)

1. Is the exhaust output centered or off-centered?

2. Is the flowmaster(19") a direct swap for the factory muffler (20")?

Bluntly, Not a big fan out the duals. Just never cared for them on a truck. Plus saves me more $.
well then that definitely makes sense... but as far as the offset goes? i wouldnt worry with it; on a dual out muffler they're both offset and yet the piping fits fine, so i don't see a problem with an offset out on a muffler... just my .02

DO NOT DUMP IT... CAUSES WAY TOO MUCH OF A HEADACHE:headbang::headbang::headbang:

1. the actual tailpipe will probably be centered

2. mostly, any aftermarket muffler will not be a direct replacement/swap... some modifications might have to be made

You should be able to get away with the offset in center out.

Yes. They have to cut the stock muffler off right at the base. It's pretty much a perfect length to jam the new muffler on.

Ok, sounds good.

I have located one on eBay for $66 USD and $30 USD Shipping (to Canada).

Is this a reasonable price? Would be about $120 CAD shipped. Can't seem to find a local retailer.

Unfortunately...for shipping costs that is I am all the way east in Newfoundland.

But would consider if it was around the same as the ebay quote.

Ah cool my parents live on the rock.

Send me a PM with your postal code and city. I'll talk to my buddy and get a rough estimate for you.

The company is called JRP (Johnson Research & Performance). www.jrponline.com

They're one of the largest aftermarket part distributors in Canada.
