Was wondering if anyone here knew of a simple, and cheap, way of improving the handling of the Echo at freeway speeds (70+ mph).

It's a great little car, peppy motor, quick steering ratios, but going faster than 70 the car doesn't feel as stable as say a Civic. Anyway, let me know if you guys have any ideas. Thanks.

i dont know if they make these for an echo, but look into some sort of caster kit. or caster plates(much cheaper and are easy to fabricate. its basically a rectangular peice of metal with 2 holes).

look on google.com to see what caster, camber, and toe do for the car. lowering will help a good deal as well.. but too low may be a nuissance when you hit speed bumps.

my 04' echo handles quite well on the freeway without PS and 175/65/14 tires. I guess you should try 195/50/15 tires and see how it responds. I'ved tried 205/45/16 on the HB and it was too difficult to turn without PS, but overall, the car handles better, and on the highway it is a little more stable.
