Hey...
A buddy came over today who is completely car illiterate.. he told me his temp gauge was dead: is this a normal Camry problem? i haven't even checked the fuses as i don't have the manual and the rest of the cluster works... car seems to run a bit rich.. i would take a multi-meter to the temp sensor(s) but i do not have the specs of where they should be.

Definitely check the fuse first. If ok, with the ignition on, but not started, short the lead to ground and the gauge should read hot. If it moves, change the sensor.

What lead and what is the fuse #? sorry i am manual-less

The lead off the sensor and I don't know what #, but the fuse covers are labelled.

I found a "gauge" fuse and replaced it, no difference... I'm guessing the temp sensors are located on the drivers side of the block, there are two of them one with 2 wire one with 1 wire? which one of the two do i check, and are these the temp sensors?
