Hey guys, 2nd post related to this in the first I hit dead ends so after going to the shop again I thought I’d fly I’ve it another try in here before I dish out more money. I’ve got a shaking/vibration from my front end specifically the right side. It starts anywhere from 30-50 and you feel like on and off at different speeds and it’s worse at various speeds and angles. You feel it in the steering wheel and the car overall more than the medals. The initial diagnosis was right side lower ball joint because of the play in the wheel when on the lift but I took it to another shop who said tie rods. Well the tie rods didn’t fix it so I took it back and the did the ball joint. Neither of these have solved the issue so they wanna take a look at the cv axle. I was curious is anyone had any suggestions beside the axle. The tires were rotated as well as having an alignment done after the outer tie rods were done but when driving it after leaving the shop today I noticed my steering wheel was no longer straight, the car itself still drives straight but yesterday after the alignment my steering wheel was aligned straight and now looks off again. Thank I’m advance everyone who got this far and any help is appreciated

Mine was exactly this issue and it was the passenger axle. Boots torn, grease everywhere, and lots of play at the CV joint.
Thanks for the input! The mechanic who worked on it said axle would be the next major thing to look at. He mentioned the possibility that it could’ve been just “rebooted” instead of completely replaced at one point or another but who knows.

Then don’t reply on my post
🤷‍♂️

I guess it doesn't matter that some wheel bearings can just be bad even if they don't make sound or have any play.

Based on after alignment, steering wheel no longer "straight", the shop sounds like they're full of _ mechanics.

Tire could have broken / slipped a belt / cord, or defective in first place. Have a look at weights on tire; rule of thumb I learned years back: If tire has over an ounce of balance weights, it's out of round.
Then again, lazy technician might just forget to re-calibrate the tire balance machine in the morning. (Difficult operation: Tech has to turn a dial and/or press a button to force the machine to re-calibrate itself.)
I've had to get same tires balanced and re-balanced several times, until finally the tire guy got pissed off and did it right.

I scared OP off 🤷‍♂️ , not sure why.

I've been trying to figure out my own high speed vibration for a long time and it just seems to lead to the poorly designed wheel bearing. Wheel bearing itself isn't bad so other than the vibration there is no real need to replace it.

No real reason, except (a) you're annoyed by the vibration, and, (b) it will result in excess wear in connected suspension components, including shocks/struts. ?? How is the race the bearing runs in; excess wear there ??
Since I'm totally weird about vibrations, I'd fix it, just because it has no right to be there.

Everything is as tight as they were and currently are. Wheel balances, new tires, alignments, and strut assemblies. Only items left are the wheel bearings and the control arms and the notable flat spot on my steelie.

Control arms need to get replaced because my caster is off. Wheel bearings I may replace the entire knuckle because it saves me time. I may do them at the same time. I may do just the control arm. I'm still debating on what to do.
