91 camry sedan, 4, auto, ; mechanic is unable to (so he says) figure out why drivers side wheel wiggles. he di however, show me how he found out that the strut moves side to side (hard to explain)b/c the mount is worn. wondering if this could be the cause of the wiggle. he changed the tie rod & end & axle is new too. can the play in the strut cause the wheel to wiggle somehow?

Is the 'top' wiggling, or the 'bottom'?

Top - yes, the upper mount can fail (rarely the OEM part, but by this time many people change out for inferior aftermarket parts that fail often).

Bottom - the front swaybar to control arm bushing fails and can cause instability.

If the strut is moving either the strut mount or the lower control arm bushing is worn. My bet is the lower control arm bushings.
