I have a 2000 Toyota Camry that has been leaking and the mechanic said it is coming from the front pump in the transmission. It isn't horrible, but I'd like to get it fixed since it does show up on the streets.

I was wondering if anyone had an idea of what would be the price to fix this?

Thanks so much!

I would use a high mileage oil or a transmission stop leak and start from there. Does the transmission have new ATF in it?

There is a seal for the pump itself or more commonly it's the input shaft seal. It's a $5 part, but requires pulling the transmission. At least a few hundred dollars.

And if it's pulled you should change out the engine rear main seal too. But I'd try the stop leak additive or HM ATF first.
