fuel floatation device 2003

my 2003 sequoia had the fuel floatation device replaced in 2005 it now is doing same thing by not registering fuel amount again is this unusual for this to go bad again ???

Mine has that same issue.... I have a 2003 Limited. I also had this issue with my 2000 LandCruiser. Seems to be a common problem.
