Just what it says. I put in a tach cluster and now the fuel gauge acts in reverse. WTF? The tank is full. When it was better than half, it read just under half. I put 5 more gallons in it and now it is on E. It was at the other reading a while as it is not currently on the road. Just put the last 5 in today. Many key cycles in between as I work out the details of the rebuild. Ideas?

May have found it: two locations on the "B" connector may need to be exchanged. Pins 5 and 6.

sounds like swapped wires...

but before you fix the gauge, run the tank completely empty, (so the gauge reads completely full) and go screw with some mechanics! tell then it'll crank but wont fire...

Stop putting gas in the tank, and in a few days it will come up to Full.

Uh, fixed. Wires were right. I got some funny resistance measurements on the gauge, so I resoldered the resistors and tightened the posts to the movement. Then the resistance measurements lined up Ok. Plugged it back in and we have a full tank Houston.
