I'm starting to drive my Toy around because the trans in my daily is taking a dump.

So I find that when I get on the road and start accelerating through the gears, it doesnt rev very fast at first, but once it hits a certain RPM, couldnt tell you what RPM because I dont have a tach yet, but it suddenly comes alive and has no problem accelerating. It does this in all gears as far as I can tell.

Its a 22RE, 5 speed manual, stock 4.10's on 33's, so I know its going to be a slug, but it seems odd to me that it will accelerate great after a certain RPM.

take a can of "cold start" ... (I hope thats contenental) and "spray" all the vaccum lines .. and gasket seals .. you'll know if you find a leak , by the engine idle changing .

old and cracked lines are the biggest cause of poor running engines ..

I believe you mean starting fluid, or ether, right?

I thought about that since I did it to my other truck before. But it runs pretty normal other then this, so I kind of passed off vacuum leak.

Thanks for the suggestion.
