Hey guys, I have been having this noise for a little while it doesn't seem to do anything to power or anything else just a weird noise. Its when I start driving in 1st or 2nd gear and it's bogged down a little bit it makes a weird rattle noise. I was thinking it may be my exhaust hitting something or drive shaft or even the rear end. I can't check it cause it only happens when I'm moving. I don't know if I'm just being paranoid or what. Thanks for any help.

Could be the transmission. All 5 of my toyota trucks have done it. My 2003 and 2005 tacoma did it, and my 2006 does it as well.

It sounds like the gears are loose inside and rattling.

my 6 speed tacoma does it, and my subaru impreza wrx does it. Its natural for cars to rattle at low rpms as it is struggling to stay alive (from stalling)

Just adding a confirmation that my 6 speed does it too. Usually only in 2nd gear around 1k RPMS.

that is the muffler bearing rattling at low rpms..... it's normal.
