fuse box loses electrical power

This 88 4 Runner loses ele. power at the fuse box and cuts off.After a short time you can start it up again for a while untill it cuts off again .It has got to be a relay that I can't seem to run down.I have looked in manuals and have failed to find a diagram of the wiring with the fuse box and relay position. It is a 22re fuel injection.I think that is is a Califonia emissions but I am not sure,no lables that I see.Anyone with help ?? Thank you

Yes above the fuse box located above the driver's side kick panel there is a round aluminum relay known as the main relay it allows 12v from your battery to your ignition switch then once ignition switch is open power to your ECU (EFI computer). The free factory service manual download links below have an electrical diagram as well as troubleshooting flow charts in the EFI section of the manual:
