G3 Camry Car Cover question...

I'm the only one in the parking lot at work with a car cover , are they useless?

I need to buy a new one , it is starting to shred and its just a single piece of cloth.

Very hot in the desert, I mostly want to save the interior from melting and delaminating as well as keep as much dust as I can out of the electronics.

Are those 4 and 5 layer covers great or gimmicky.
Would a two or three layer be just as good ?

I shopped today at Kragen or Auto zone and they went by the length of the car, yesterday on ebay a found some that looked to be just for the g3 and maybe 4 camrys.

I thought getting one just by length would be pretty lame.
