Who says you don't learn something new everyday? Well last night i discovered that my headlights shut off 10 secs after i pull the key out of the ignition, so need to shut'em off anymore...When i start the car they turn on....nifty...again this is new to me and never had a car that did that...

On the gen 5's, the headlights automatically turn off when you lock the car with the keyless remote, or a few seconds after the key is taken out of the ignition. If the parking light is turned on, it will automatically turn off when the door is open and the key taken out.

I know the gen 3's headlights turn off as soon as the door is open and the key is taken out of the ignition.

maybe it DRL.. i know on my camry i have DRL and when i deactivate that, the headlight turns off right after i open the door, but when DRL is active, it turns off a bit longer than after i open the door

Come on guys... read your manual... It will tell you all about the features of your car. :)

Yeah....I noticed the same thing on my '04 (gen5?)
It's been a while since I've worked the headlights like that. Isn't there a loud and annoying buzzer that accompanies your leaving the vehicle, or attempting to, with the headlights on? I believe that this is happening due to the battery saver feature.

Unfortunately guys, when we bought our 2004 Camry LEs, we lost a few things compared to the '05.
2005 Camry LE-
ABS brakes
Auto headlights

About the only useful thing the '04 kept compared to the '05 is the tape player. Not that I use it, but nice to have it anyways.
This audio system sounds pretty darn good tho!!!
