I bought a used 2008 Corolla CE for my soon to be driving teenage daughter. It had 18K miles on it. I've had it for a few months now. I drive it a few miles around town every now and then to keep it from sitting around. I had to go up to New York to see the folks and decided to take the little buggy vice my Tacoma. Here are the results. I put a few squirts in it in Virginia Beach to top it off and Coxsackie on the way back.

1st leg going up: Virginia Beach, VA to New Castle, DE. 220 miles/5.968 gallons=36.8MPG.

1st leg going back home: Coxsackie, NY to Dover, DE. 292 miles/7.245 gallons=40.3MPG.

Going up from Norfolk on RT. 13 has some stop and go driving. But not bad when one leaves at 3am.

The 1st leg coming back is all highway, so that's why the numbers were better. Needles to say, I was stoked about those!

Maybe I ought to give the Tacoma to my daughter!
