I noticed that the gas tank is leaking on the 91 Tercel I just picked up. I was wondering what year tanks are interchangeable?

How hard is it to drop it? Can I do it myself if the tank is close to empty? Is the pump attached to the top of the tank, or is it an inline pump?

The fuel tank is a fairly easy replcement. The pump is in the tank. I had to replace mine in a 92 and was not a very hard job. Hope this helps

Note before pulling the tank like I did remove the rear seat and you will find a metal cover,remove it and check fuel hoses, I had one that cracked and ran down the tank looking like a tank leak.
