I bought a gauge set for my 98 taco 4x4 used to replace my cluster with a bad tach. My question is will the digital odometer show the same mileage as the original cluster? or will it read what was on the truck it was pulled from?

It will read what was on the truck it was pulled from... I'm pretty sure.

it will read what was on the other truck. their's actually steps you need to take (technically) that involve certifying the vehicles' actual mileage and getting a sticker that goes in the door jam the reads "odo replaced at XXX,XXX miles"
the mileage on the cluster and the truck need to be documented so that their is an accurate history for the vehicle.
