is the radio on when you do this?
no, i shut the radio off, i know its coming from the engine bay
i had that problem with my 4runner for 2 years ... well after thinking there was something with the belts and then after making sure they were all tight we thought the timing chain (dont know why but we did) but all we had to do to fix it ( out nighbor showed us) was take a bar of soap and let it rub against the belts and it stoped, he said it was rust on the pullys that cause that and the soap helps the belt go by easier. that or a pully is bad.
do you wanna edit a picture of an engine bay to show me where to apply the soap, you mean while its running right, let the soap rub against the belt??
i'll get u the pic, but u have to tell me what engine you have.. it's on the end of the hood. is it a 2vz-fe aka V6 or a I4?
I4, 3s-fe
the sound is realy annoying me, anyone have that picture yet?
send me a picture of ur engine, I can't find a picture of a 3s-fe, I have a 2vz-fe converting to 3s-gte

not mine, but same one

is it that belt thats easily visible on the left side??
^ Yup.

Theres also another belt thats visible. It goes from the crank pulley to the power steering pump.
ok, so should i apply soap on all sides, or just the left and right side, just bottom?
^ Just the bottom side of the belt. The part that rides against the pullies.
alright, thanks alot, sorry for being such a pain in the ass, i just dont wanna mess anything up, let me get it straight, run the car, lightly press a bar of soap against the under-side of that belt (whats the name for it anyway?)... how long should i do that for, like a few seconds

Yup.

Autoparts store also sell belt dressing. It comes in a spray can.

(whats the name for it anyway?)...
Accessory belt. Theres 2 of them.

Crank pulley ---> alternator ---> a/c compressor (if you have ac).

Crank pulley ---> power steering pump.
