so i replaced the fuel pump since the car would kill itself after 2 seconds of running and now the car doesnt really want to turn over. it turns over once but not twice.

do you think it has to do with the battery not being charged? the car has been sitting for about a month and the NEW battery was almost uncharged due to being connected for so long.

the distributor hasnt been changed in 4 years...is that a potential problem?

we also changed the fuel filter, fuel pump, spark plgs and thw wires are pretty decent.

Yeah , the battery probably needs to be charged. 4 years is a long time for a cap. Atleast take it off and have a look at it.

A dead battery will not supply enough current to the starter.

Charge the battery and try again.

If your getting spark from the plugs, the distributor is fine.
