I have 1990 Camry Dx 4 cylinder that has a speedometer without a tach. Now I know I need to get a cluster with a tach that came out of a 4 cylinder, my only question is will any gen 2 cluster fit? I have noticed on ebay that they are grouped as 87-88 and 89-91.

I don't know why they are grouped like that, but all gen2 clusters are interchangable except for the uber-rare digital cluster, which requires some rewiring.

just don't get one from the V6 or else you'll be off a lil bit.

if i remember correctly, the only diff between the clusters from 87-88 and 89-91 is that the speedo and tach look a bit differently. they are calibrated the same but there are more divisions in between the numbers and they look a bit more modern... i'll see if i can get an example. but either way, as long as you're going from an i4 dash to another i4 dash, there is nothing to worry aout and fitment should be the same.

a lot of the 89-91 ones listed are V6 clusters.

make sure the speedo only reads to 135, not 150. 150 = v6
