J, I feel bad for you but revving the engine to 8000 rpm and going through muddy terrain on daily basis does not help the matter.
that was a wrong number ive only had it to about 6500 and that was when i was pulling out pointer in the mud, although i do need to calm down on the mudding

tom-they couldnt figure out what was wrong with the starting, i would just turn the key and nothing would happen, i think it was just mud in the terminals or something

There's just too much technology in all vehicles. My TPM went haywire the other day; all tires, including the spare had 35 psi. I lowered the spare, put even more air in, raised it back up, did a couple ignition resets (should we call it reboot?) and the indicator went out. We all are lead to believe in the "Legendary Toyota Reliability". That's just marketing crap; sells more vehicles, doesn't it? This is my 3rd Toyota, the first 2 were not trouble-free. I bought the Tacoma because it still beats the competition. They are all machines and machines breakdown and need maintenance.

yeh and too add to all the problems i think my leaf spring tsb is coming back. me and pointer tested the back of my truck last night and it sounds like the noise is coming back, although it might have been from the rain and cold, but his girlfriends frontier was in the same weather and not making any noise. when i checked it today it sounded fine, i swear this truck is just messing with me
