What 4 door manual transmission 'sports' sedan would you buy if you couldn't buy a Toyota-Lexus product?

price = 35k or less, new or near new model.

Probably between the Audi S4, VW GLI that's as new as possible while staying within price range or the previous bodystyle (08) Acura TL Type-S.

I really like the New Taurus SHO with the EcoBoost engine. It well in the price range but it doesn't come with a manual transmission.

ReaLLY pissed that Toyota decided to stop offering the Camry SE with a manual transmission. Why on earth would they do that...F'ers!

Nissan Maxima, they all come loaded with the good stuff, big dealer network, cheaper parts than the Euro cars. The first of the SE Models, that came with a 3.5L V-6 (255hp?) and were in the early 2000's body style are particularly potent, and cheap right now.

^+1. Now that I think a bit more... Nissan does have a car in that you might find in that range (in the US., maybe) I have a friend with a G37/MT, coupe. The performance is quite stunning, and it in a nicely refined machine in a Sedan version as well.:thumbsup:
