I have my 89 4x4 and have got a set of 16x8 MT classic 2's.I have been looking for tires and am curious as to what size to get.The guy i got the truck from put a 3'' lift under it.I am curious if a 265/75/16 is too small or I need to go with a bigger size, maybe a 285?I plan on going with BFG TA KO's.Any feedback would help.It has 33x12.50 15's on it now. Thanks

with a 3" lift & 8" wheels i would go with 285/75s(33-11.5) but if you got 16x10s you could run a 305/70(33-12.5) but on those wheels they would look like balloons. the 265/75s are a 32-10.5 and with a 3" lift i would think they would be too small. i am planning to get 265/75s on my 89 4x4 with about a 2" rear shackle lift and when i get the tires i am going to turn the torsion bars ou some.

If you're running 33's now why not just get some 33x12.50-16's (or metric equivalent)?

the 285/75s will be the same height as the ones on it now but they will be 1" narrower.
