I have been looking around, but havent found a site that sells a replacement crank pulley for the 5SFE, I have gone to unorthodox...however the pulley they have for sale is about 600. I am looking for the price range between 100-300 if possible. thanks...

The Original Replacement

As you can see in the After picture the Front of it broke and now is stuck between the frame and rest of the crankshaft. The replacement I originally got I believe is from a Camry around the same year with the same engine 5SFE, however the back of the pulley on the camry replacement looks alot smaller than the original back end part on the engine. I am not sure if that makes a huge difference or not. But I was told it would fit on my car since they do share the same engine yet they look entirely different

So I did a little research on part numbers for the mr2 and camry and this is what I came up with
I'm almost certain these are the correct part #s.
13408-74050 1991+ Mr2 Crankshft Pulley
13408 74041 1992-96 sx10 Camry Pully Crankshaft
13408-03020 1997+ CAmry sx20 (L) Camry Pully Crankshaft
13408-74041 1997+ camry sx20 (j) Camry Pully Crankshaft

I have no idea what L and J stand for but this is what I had looked up.

Cheapest I found for 13408-74050 is $337 (free shipping for purchases over 100) on partznet.com
Please double check your part number with this one to make sure it is correct. I'm still a newb at being a mechanic

Yeah, many of the similar sites offer the replacement for that price, I am looking at non stop tuning in which they have pulley's available, however I am not sure if those are the right one's either because there is not a great deal of description with the pulley.
Mine would be $318.79 plusactual shipping costs for an Genuine OEM one, new. Not sure how much the shipping would be, but it would probably be close to the $338.00 mark. But wouldn't know until I had the weight and a zip code.

I actually ordered a new pulley from NST, its a brand new pulley that they make on special order and only cost about 128ish.
Wow, that "Original Replacement" not only will eat a tad more Horsepower but the parts on the rear belt are going to be spinning a WHOLE LOT faster.

Us Mark 1 guys also visit down under with the Pulley Brothers.

Be advised, as you now know, that it is "buyer beware" in this aftermarket pulley business. You'd be better be advised to do your homework on what you want and what works, BEFORE, you go shopping.
