Yup. When I put my deposit down, I asked to have at least the performance. Then the dealership called a week ago and said they had one with all 3 packages and if I wanted it. Now I own a black GR Corolla. I'm CatsLikeCatFood on the GR Corolla forums. But I'm here cause I also have a 21 XSE HB.

Yeah, it seems that most of the Cores coming into dealerships have all three of the factory option packages. Were you also flexible on color? I know that if I was in your position, I'd have to insist on Ice Cap.

They asked what color I wanted, and I said white. But as the months went by, I stopped caring about the color I wanted and just hoped I would get the car, lol.
How does the deposit work? Do they lock in the interest rate at time of deposit?
been curious about this.

The deposit was a confirmation of you wanting to buy it. In my case, it was $1000. Then they put me on a list, which I was first for a core. There isn't any financing done at that time. Then when the time came, I used the deposit on top of my down payment. Or you can get the deposit back too. It was the same process for when I ordered my 21 XSE HB from factory since no one had the options I wanted.

Congrats and at that price it is a worthy car. These $15-$20k are just plain stupid in my mind. Folks it is still a Corolla and not worthy of a $60k price tag.

That would explain the similarities in the sites. I thought it was just some template used by a site maker that copied other sites to be honest.
