HI Guys.. I just picked up a 92 reg cab 4x4 and have noticed that under quick braking the back wheels seem really grabby and sometimes lock up... any thoughts would be greatly appreciated before I take it in to get looked at.. I had a 91 extended can before and never experienced this... I sure its a simple problem...
Thanks

My truck's doing the same thing right now. I'm pretty sure its the rear brake proportioning valve that's out of adjustment. As far as I know, you just have to bend the rod on top of the rear axle to the proper height.
Anyone else had to adjust this?

To adjust the LSPV you don't bend the rod, you adjust the length of the link between it and the axle.

i guess a little grabby is better than squirting all that magic STOP-JUICE out the back like mine did.

before you adjust it, bleed your brakes till the fluid is clear, according to the manual. it's not easy, but it makes a difference. the rear brakes take much less force than the front to stop since the front is disc, rear drum. an air bubble up front means more pressure to stop = rear lock.

bleed till clear, then test, then adjust.

if you want to, get some speedbleeders. they make it less painfull. :)
