Nobody has any ideas????
+1Is the compressor coming on?
Is the green LED for the A/C button easy to replace? Its the one when you push the button in. I thought that one is soldered into place? I hope thats the problem because last time I used my A/C in like September it was working fine.the bulb could simply be burnt out....like stated above check and see iof the compressor comes on...the indicator bulbs do burn out over time, but it doesnt affect performance of the function they control....the bulb is also easy to replace too
Hey all, I have searched about this and only found threads regarding the a/c light flashing. In which I already had this problem before so I know it't not that. But why won't my green a/c light come on at all anymore? Could it be burnt out? I tried checking to see if I was getting any cold air but its hard to guess. Considering the air outside is still somewhat cold and it could just be that coming through the vents. Maybe, I need my a/c recharged? Anyone have any guesses to why the light doesn't come on? Thanks in advance.
Your'e misunderstanding which bulb it is. The bulbs that you are talking about are the ones that light up the ring of the controls (red circle in pic) Yes, those are easy to replace but those are working. The one that is not working on mine is the green light when pushing in the A/C button (red arrow in pic) If it is that bulb that is out it seems a lot harder to replace. The bulb is behind the button and looks soldered into place.pull out the HVAC controls and do a bulb switcharoo.. takes 2 mins
Is the compressor underneath the alternator? How exactly do I check to see if it works? Can you distincivley hear it when the engine is running?the a/c light is led, shouldn't go out that quickly. and yes, its soldered in, and no its not easy to replace. like the others said, check the compressor and make sure your a/c actually works.
for future reference, all the button lights and symbol back lighting (Recirculate, A/C, Defrost) are leds, the outer rings are incandescent bulbs. i've replaced those leds to blue and red, and its not easy. took a little tinkering around to figure out how to get them apart.

Would the light really have anything to do with not coming on if the compressor or another part of a/c system is not working?
Oh crap, I skipped right over that one, my bad. I'll try that.Did you read my post? Why don't you do a simple test to see if your ac is working or not.
How did he go about replacing it? Did he do it himself or have the dealership do it or someone else?Let us know what it was.
My buddies' went out not too long ago and his was just the bulb. Hopefully that is the case for you because that is the cheapest route.
