I have a question before I head to the mechanic, 2004 Toyota Corolla Allex, when I press on the accelerator pedal while driving, there’s a high grinding/ rubbing vibration felt when I’m accelerating the car, especially from a stop, then as I continue to accelerate it goes away, any ideas what could the issue be?

Can you make an audio/video recording? Noise issues are really hard to diagnose online without hearing it.

Have you had any work done right before this noise? Could be the front brake dust shield is rubbing against the rotor. Just bend it back a bit if that is the case.

Okay I made a quick recording, it’s a heavy vibration felt throughout while accelerating, like something is rubbing, it’s the feeling how you’d feel when you’d try to drive with the parking brake up, see recording:

Can't really discern anything from that audio. Just sounds like normal acceleration. Perhaps someone else can give it a listen.
